Remember - these are the ONLY injuries that must be reported:
A head or spinal injury, or medical event (e.g. a heart attack) that results in the player being admitted to hospital
An injury or medical event (e.g. a heart attack) that results in the death of a player during match play or rugby training
An injury that is expected to result in some permanent disability (e.g. loss of use of a limb, loss of an eye
Shoulder Labral Tear
Traumatic injuries and repetitive overhead shoulder movements may cause a tear in the labrum, leading to pain, limited motion, instability, and weakness in the joint.
Shoulder Dislocation
A shoulder dislocation occurs when the “ball” of the humerus is forced out of its normal position in the “socket” or “cup” of the shoulder blade called the glenoid.
AC Joint Injury
An AC Joint injury often occurs after a fall or direct blow to the tip of the shoulder with the arm abducted.
